The implementation of EU framework directives into the Dutch legal system

Based on the detailed analysis of five framework directives and a series of interviews, this research project explored the question whether framework directives give rise to problems of implementation in the Dutch legal order and whether these problems are of such a structural nature that they trigger fundamental changes to the Dutch legal system. The research was carried out under the leadership of Deirdre Curtin, Ronald van Ooik and Thomas Vandamme, all ACELG, with contributions by researchers from the Hugo Sinzheimer Institute, the Center for the Study of Contract Law and the Center for Energy Law.
