Elisabeth will conduct research on the political economy of EU disability law, as well as the governance of platforms organizing care labour, and will be involved in teaching in the Master's programme "International and European Law", in the European Union Law and European Competition Law and Regulation tracks.

Before joining ACELG, Elisabeth was a lecturer in European law at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, while completing her PhD at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. Her doctoral research into the conception of the person in EU law provided a critique of the legal subject in EU disability, labour and citizenship law and proposed a capabilitarian conception of the person for EU law and policy.

Elisabeth is a former head of section and current senior editor at the European Journal of Legal Studies, as well as a founding member of the EUI researchers’ union.
