Additionally, she taught courses at the Department of Political and Socio-Cultural Sciences, and the International School for Humanities and Social Sciences of the Faculty of Humanities. She did this with a lot of love for her profession and for the students. International students who did not yet have sufficient knowledge of European law received her particular and unconditional attention and she thus ensured that these students obtained the level of knowledge required to successfully complete their Master's programme. For many of her students, their studies in Amsterdam are inseparably linked to Daniela.
In her research Daniela focused on the role of civil society in the European Union. She published in many international journals and also edited a number of books. She participated in major European research projects, such as one on civil society participation in new forms of governance. She also collaborated with others in her publications, always ensuring that research assistants received the full credits they deserved. More recently, Daniela addressed in her research the principle of solidarity as a general principle of European Union law and she worked on a compendium in EU law.
Daniela was a very good colleague. She was a hard worker, who prepared her teaching carefully and took any request for feedback on research projects very seriously. She was very helpful and was always ready to jump in where necessary. The Department of International and European Public Law loses a passionate and dedicated colleague, and a helpful and cordial person. We will miss her very much.
Daniela was cremated Tuesday in private circle. At the request of her relatives we will prepare a memorial book with our fondest memories of Daniela. We warmly invite all who have cooperated with her and who wish to contribute to send their contribution to Angela Moisl by the end of April.
