Dutch feminist magazine Opzij published an interview with Anniek de Ruijter, ACELG associate professor and director of Bureau Clara Wichmann. De Ruijter: there has been progress on women's rights in the Netherlands since the 1980s. The task now is to build on what has been achieved so far.

According to De Ruijter the legal position of women in the Netherlands has improved significantly since the 1980s. For example on issues such as equality, stalking and the position of pregnant women at their workplace. That said, there is still a lot of room for improvement to improve women's legal position. Legal procedures on specific issues can be an effective means of changing law.
