Anniek de Ruijter, ACELG associate professor and Director of Bureau Clara Wichmann, was interviewed by Dutch news site De Correspondent. In the interview she talks about the continued (legal) inequality between men and women in the Netherlands and how persistent legal proceedings are a constructive way to address this inequality.
De Ruijter explains about Burau Clara Wichmann's strategy to taking legal action and why it sometimes is better in the interest of women's rights not to take legal action. She also speaks about topics such as abortion, head scarves, pink tax, the position of pregnant students and insufficient oversight of products applied to women's bodies in health care.
