Three-day conference commemorates EUI scholar Peter Mair

A year after Peter Mair’s sudden death, the European University Institute, where he was Professor of Comparative Politics, hosts a three-day conference in his memory. Entitled ‘Responsive or Responsible? Parties, Democracy and Global Markets’, the event brings together some 30 scholars, among whom ACELG-director Deirdre Curtin. She will present a paper entitled ‘Blacked Out Europe? The Renaissance of Official Secrecy in Supranational Government’.

Together with Ioannis Papadopoulos, Peter Mair and Deirdre Curtin are the editors of Accountability and European Governance (London: Routledge, 2012).
