Jeremy Bierbach studies the historical development of the citizenship of the United States for the benefit of understanding the continuing legal development of the citizenship of the European Union. His research focuses on the milestones of jurisprudence and legislation to demonstrate the development of citizenship.

Jeremy has been associated with ACELG as an external PhD candidate. He is an attorney at Franssen Advocaten and previously was self-employed as a legal advisor while also acting as managing editor of  European Constitutional Law Review
